PROVIDING KIN CAREGIVERS CONNECTIONS AND RESOURCES
At Georgia Kinship Project, we believe that relative caregivers should be a valued, first choice when out of home caregiving is required for a child. Georgia Kinship Project Inc. is designed to be an advocacy agency and resource to relatives parenting relative children. Our programming and activities are designed to help our families maintain a safe and stable placement while ensuring partnership parenting from a trusted source. We believe that children thrive when they are placed with their relatives. We also affirm the need of resources specifically for relative caregiving. Their work often goes unmentioned, but we strive to highlight the importance of relatives receiving the resources they need to ensure a safe return to their biological parents.
OUR IMPACT
Georgia Kinship Project was created in response to a need for relative caregiver supports. Our organization was designed to respond to this need and implement social services and community resources for kin families in DFCS region 6. Our agency covers the following counties: Bibb, Houston, Peach, Crawford, Twiggs, Monroe, Jones, Baldwin, Wilkinson, and Putnam counties. Our agency does not exclude other Georgia counties and supports may be available on a case by case basis.

Since the creation of Georgia Kinship Project, we've served over 200 families across the state of Georgia. Our organization is unique because of its positioning in the state. We are the only kin-serving agency in the central Georgia area. As our agency grows, we intend to open resources and opportunities to caregivers across the state of Georgia.
